My name is Maria Deliyianni (pronouns she/her/hers). I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Mathematics Department at the University of Arizona, working under the mentorship of Shankar Venkataramani.
I received my doctorate in Applied Mathematics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, advised by Justin Webster. Before that, I completed my undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics at the University of Cyprus.Â
In my free time, I enjoy reading (my favorite author is Stefan Zweig), exploring new cuisines with a strong preference for spicy food, playing indie video games (especially Hades), and lifting heavy things. I am originally from Cyprus, and I always feel at home near the ocean.
