Amazon brought these little cuties! I can't wait to show the class on Monday! 🐛
Maverick - Not much is happening and they are not really moving.
Avi - They are climbing on the side of the cup.
Penelope - They are fuzzy looking!
Alessandro - What is the brown at the bottom? Mrs. Roll - Food.
Rylee - I think the brown dots everywhere could be babies. Mrs. Roll then said it is "waste" 💩
Mrs. Roll measured the caterpillars and they are just a little over 1 cm long.
They are growing!
Bailey - One of them is kind of in a smiley upside down u-shape.
Bjorn - Two of them look like they are making an H.
Mason - Two of them look like they are making the number 11.
Nora - They are bigger today!
Kensi - They are not 2 cm!!
Stevie - It looks like one of them are moving.
Isaac - It looks like one is hanging from the top.
Alistair - They are staying still.
Sanav - They look bigger today!
Sami - They are 2.5 cm long now.
Oops!! Forgot to do observations! Mrs. Roll measured and they were 3 cm long!
Claire - They look bigger!
Sanav - They are shedding chunks of their bodies.
Sienna & Mr. Josh - They have 6 legs but it looks like they have lots of legs.
Miles - They are 3.5 cm long.
Alessandro - The cup is not that clean!
Isaac - They are bigger!
Maverick - They have lots of stuff in the cup.
Miles - They are ginormous!!
Emilia - It looks dirty in there.
Mrs. Roll explained to Emilia, who was out last week, that it is all **waste** 💩
Sienna - They are 5 cm long! 😮
Jonah (from New Zealand) - He says the spikes are getting bigger when they grow.
Alistair- One is moving it's head fast.
Aviram - One of them looks like it's going in an upside down shape... maybe a chrysalis soon!
Penelope - They are bigger!
Bjorn - It looks like they are making the number 11.
Alessandro - They are still about 5 cm but look fatter.
Bailey - It looks like they are in an ax shape.
Stevie - It looks a little cleaner in the cup.
Claire - They are in the J shape!!!!
Rylee - They are almost in their chrysalis!
Emilia - They are hanging upside down!
Check out these chrysalises!!! Just in time for Spring Break!
Happy Easter from Mrs. Roll & Mrs. Gavin who came in to get the chrysalises and the nets now that they are ready to be transported to our houses for butterfly watching!
Fun fact and don't tell Mrs. Gavin 😉 🤫 Every year I help her transfer them to the net because she's afraid to touch it all! 😆 This year one of her guys was down in the *waste* and I had to fish him out.
The chrysalises are being protected by a familiar face... I mean, beak... at the Roll household! 🦋 We're still on butterfly watch! 👀
We have our first butterfly!!!
3 butterflies now!
Our 4th one is out!
Enjoying some sugar water 😋
