MCS FAQ

What does it mean that MCS is a Google School?

We are registered with Google Education as a school that has been trained to use the Google Education Suite. All students in the school have Google accounts to access the Google Education Apps. Teachers and students use Google Classroom to help teach, share, and collaborate. Using the Google accounts students can log into other web sites that teachers use in the classroom.

Teachers all have Google web sites as well which they use to communicate directly with parents about homework.

All students in grades 6-8 have Chromebooks and students in grades 4-5 and have access to Chromebooks.

What is the MCS Portal and how do I get access?

Teachers will post all their grades, progress reports, and report cards on the portal. Teachers will also post homework and information about the subject area and other events in the classroom. Attendance and other school messages will be posted there as well.

All parents have access to the portal with a id and pw. If unable to do so contact Mike.

Can parents access the students Google accounts?

Yes, students all have their own Google email accounts and passwords. They can share this with their parents so parents can see the assignments, emails, shared files, and access to other programs.
