Good Day Sacramento Freshman Golf Phenom

Zach Mate of Elk Grove, California, took home the title in the Boys Division of the Future Champions Golf National Tour Las Vegas Spring Open at Revere. He began with a 4-over-par 76 in the first round that left him two shots back of the lead. In the final round, he fought back and carded a 4-under 68 that included an eagle to finish the tournament at even-par 144 and win by one. Mate played in his first two AJGA events last season and finished third at the 2019 AJGA Preview at River Ridge (Ages 12-15)
