2nd JANGADA DINÂMICA

The 2nd Jangada Dinâmica is a workshop on Dynamical Systems, Ergodic Theory and related areas whose goal is to present the recent advances in these fields to the Brazilian Mathematical community and, specially, to those studying and working in the Northeastern region of Brazil. Held at Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), its first edition consisted of a two-day event in January 2019, and now it will have a duration of five days, with lectures of researchers with varied expertises, such as:

• Diophantine approximations

• Hyperbolic dynamics

• Nonuniformly hyperbolic dynamics

• Probability and ergodic theory

• Topological dynamics

Diversity in Mathematics:

The project supports the creation of a diverse environment in Mathematics, devoting 30% of participation and funding to underrepresented groups in Mathematics (regarding gender, race, ethnicity, disability, socioeconomic status, and regionality).
