About the teacher:
Welcome to the 2025/2026 School Year! My name is Chris Voroscak, and this is my fourth year teaching at MaST Community Charter School. I am a graduate of Holy Family University and recently graduated from Arcadia University, where I received my Master's in Educational Leadership.
During the 2025/2026 school year, we will be covering world history from a range of topics such as the Renaissance all the way to global imperialism. Resources, assignments, and calendars can be found for each class on my Google Classroom.
I am very grateful to be part of the MaST Community and look forward to a productive and fulfilling school year!
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out through email at Cvoroscak@Mast3.org or via talking points.
Shovel Packet ( 2 per quarter)
Shovel Packet will be a curated packet of assignments that students will have an opportunity to redo with a slight reduction in grade for lateness. The purpose of the shovel packet will be to bring a failing grade to above a 70%. Shovel Packets will be evaluated Bi-Weekly
Gradesaver project (1 per quarter)
Students who have less than 70% will be able to complete a grade-saver project. 20-Point classwork. Grade savers will be mini projects that students can complete for a 20-point assignment to be added to their grade. Gradesaver for each unit will become available on the first day of the unit and will close on the last day of the Unit. Gradesavers must be done on the student’s own time and can only be done once per quarter
Test Retake (1 Per Semester)
Students who score below a 70% on a Unit test will have the opportunity to retake the test after meeting with the teacher for a remediation of the grade. Students will retake a slightly different test but the grade will completely replace the failing test grade.
