What does a small group look like?
I pull students daily to work on math and ELA skills. During this time, I am providing targeted instruction to work towards their IEP goals and provide additional help and intervention based on what they are currently learning in their classes.
On Mondays & Wednesdays, students will move into station learning. This means a few students will be writing, a few students will be working on Lexia, and a few students will be meeting with me for some direct instruction.
On Tuesdays & Thursdays, students will be focused on math skills. I utilize the Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics Instruction. Students will be placed into random small groups and will work through task cards and math fluency tasks together.
Lexia and MyPath Math
Students are REQUIRED to complete MyPath Math & Lexia. These are research-based interventions to help your student with math and ELA skills. Their progress and completion of their minutes each week also help me provide direct instruction to your student during small group!
Students must complete 60 minutes of MyPath Math weekly. Students must complete 80 minutes of Lexia weekly.
