Meet your Teacher

Hello and welcome to SAIL 3! My name is Mrs. Nieves, and I am so excited to be your childs teacher! I love teaching and feel very lucky to have the opportunity to work with amazing students every day. I believe that every student is unique, special, and capable of learning and growing. 

This is my 5th year teaching at MaST! Before my current classroom, I taught 1st grade and 3rd grade Special Education. I have always loved working with students and watching them learn new things, gain confidence, and reach their goals. I have a Bachelor's in Special Education, with certification from Pre-K through 12th grade. I have been in education for 10+ years.

Family is very important to me! I have three children, who are 25, 20, and 18 years old. I am also married to my wonderful husband. Our house is full of furry friends! I have two Goldendoodles and two cats. 

I am so excited for a wonderful year together! I can't wait to learn, grow, laugh, and make memories with your students. My goal is to make our classroom a place where everyone feels safe, loved, respected, and successful.
