SLP stands for Speech-Language Pathologist. An SLP works with students with a variety of communication difficulties. SLPs have a master's degree and maintain national certification through the American Speech and Hearing Association.
A school-based SLP treats children with a variety of communication disorders including articulation, speech fluency, expressive language, receptive language, and pragmatic language.
