Dental Health Week
Students learned all about the importance of brushing their teeth (2 times a day for 2 minutes). We had a dentist come in for a fun presentation!
Happy 100th Day of School!!!!
Penguin Week!
Students learned all about Penguins this week. We talked about how blubber keeps them warm and students got to experiment with the blubber. To wrap up the week, we did our Penguin relay race!
Polar Express Day!
All Aboard! We read "The Polar Express" as a class, learned how to make hot chocolate, and to finish the day, we had some hot cocoa and watched the movie! Such a fun day!
Gingerbread Day!
Students got to try some Gingerbread cookies and used their 5 senses to describe the cookie. It was a hit for K1! Later on, students were able to decorate their Gingerbread houses. Look at those faces! :)
Holidays Around the World
Students took a week in December to learn about different holidays around the world: Christmas in Germany, Diwali, Chinese New Year, Three Kings Day, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. They also got some special surprises too! :)
Share Feast
Students got to share what they are thankful for and had a delcious feast with their friends! Happy Thanksgiving!
Election Day
Students got to vote for their favorite chip (Thin or Wavy) and for our Lower School Student Council.
Storybook Character Parade
Students got to dress up like their favorite story book character and share items from their stories.
Our first field trip to Solly Brother's Farm!
Pumpkin Day!
Students spent the day learning about pumpkins. We got the chance to open a real pumpkin and see what's inside!
Fire Safety Week
Students spent the past week learning all about fire safety. We wrapped up our week with a delicious snack: a firetruck graham cracker!
Shiver Me Letters!
Students spent the past week learning about letters! We wrapped up the week with a pirate scavenger hunt for letters around the classroom!
