I grew up in Central Pennsylvania in a town called Carlisle, and went to Carlisle High School from K-12. I went to college at Wesleyan University (in Connecticut) where I majored in Physics. While in college I studied abroad in Santiago de Chile at la Universidad de Chile, where I got to live with a host family and play soccer on the university team. I then went to Brown University (in Rhode Island) for a Master's in Teaching.
I come from a family of educators: my mother is a math teacher, my dad is a physics professor, and my grandmother was a physics professor as well. I'm a guitar player and a fan of many different kinds of music, mostly hip-hop and folk. I've played soccer my whole life and I'm an avid fan of many sports. I love to cook and bake, and I'm sure many students will get to taste my baking this year!
