Engineering Design
Students will learn the design process from research through prototype builds of projects. Areas of study include product design and improvement, reverse engineering, schematic reading, 3D printing, and a school improvement project. Projects provide opportunities for students to work individually and in groups. Students will use the AutoDesk Inventor program to design and produce professional documentation of their work.
Intro to Art
This is an introductory course that will provide students with an overview of the world of Visual Arts. Students will explore the work and lives of various artists in order to understand the relevance of art in society.
Students will work with a variety of foundational art materials and techniques to create original works and projects. Students will learn to participate in a collaborative art-making community in which they learn about themselves and their peers through the lens of creativity.
Intro to Product Design and Prototyping
In this class, students will use the design process to create original products with a focus on sustainability, inclusivity and community. This course is project-based and will challenge students to think creatively and critically about the impact of their work in the world outside the classroom. A mix of technology and hands-on work will be involved as well.
