Hi students and parents! I am Ms. Mayes and this is a way to get to know me a little better. This is my second year teaching at MaST II! I believe science is for everyone, and my classroom is a place where questions are encouraged, mistakes are part of learning, and we work together to figure things out.
FUN FACTS ABOUT ME:
I recently graduated with my M.S in Microbiology + Immunology from Drexel University!
I have four cats that I will never shut up about. Oreo, Lacy, Mr. Moose and Rocco and you will most likely see a ton of pictures of them throughout the school year because they are basically my children.
I love reading and doing puzzles in my free time, so I always have a book reccommendation or a puzzle to give away!
My favorite artist of all time is Clairo, I have one of her albums tattooed on me so its serious
I worked at the University of Georgia for a year so I am obviously a huge college football fan (sorry eagles fans)
