A Message from Your Teacher

Welcome to your first year of middle school in the Red Building!  You now have lockers and more responsibility! What an exciting time for you!  I am overjoyed that you are a part of my class, and I look forward to meeting you!  

This will mark my 9th year as being a part of the MaST family, but it is my 8th year here at Byberry and my 24th year of teaching!  I am still in shock that it's been that long! I can still remember my first year of teaching in another sixth grade classroom all those years ago.  Over the course of my career, I have taught all subjects in grades fourth through  eighth, but I love that I have found my way back to this grade level here at MaST!  This is the BEST age group, and each of you makes the days interesting,  fun, and memorable!  

When you can't find me in the halls of MaST, I am home spending time with my husband and our three children--and let me tell you, our schedule is BUSY!  Also, I always enjoy trying new foods and activities, visiting new places, socializing with family and friends, rooting for Philly sports (Eagles have my heart) and embracing all things FALL!  Stay tuned for more specific details about me as we all share about ourselves soon!

Although summer is coming to an end and routine is around the corner, we can make the best of it by giving effort each day! So, set your mind to POSITIVE mode, and let's get started on this exciting journey together!  Bring on the 2026-2027 school year!
