Vacation/Special Circumstance Approval FormIn order to promote a consistent educational process throughout the school year, parents/guardians should not schedule family vacations during the school year. If it is imperative that a vacation must be taken, the following must be noted: -This Vacation Approval Form must be completed and submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the date of intended departure. You must indicate the educational benefit of the vacation on this form. -Vacations taken during mid-terms, finals, and standardized testing are not excused and will not be approved. -Successful completion of the form, with approval, prior to 2 weeks of the vacation date, will result in excused absences. These days will count toward the total number of cumulative absences of the student. -Vacations that add days beyond 10 cumulative absences for students will not be approved. -Students absent because of a family vacation are accountable for all work missed.
