Class Dojo for Communication

We use the Class Dojo App for communicating with parents. It is an excellent way for teachers and parents to connect, communicate, and work together. We use 2 sides of this app. Dojo Classroom: This allows the teacher to keep track of behavior within the class and for parents to check in on their child’s daily behavior. Dojo Class Story: This is very much like a Facebook feed for parents. The teacher can post updates throughout the day, pictures/videos of class activities, reminders for upcoming events, and much more.

Class Dojo for Behavior

Class Dojo is an excellent way of keeping track of both positive and negative behavior.

Green Points: Students following expectations get “green points” that they will be able to trade for prizes at the “Dojo Store” on Fridays.

Red Points: Students not following expectations will get “red points” that come with a consequence.

-3pts/office visit & call home

Fun Fridays

Every Friday afternoon will be "Fun Friday". Every student has the opportunity to participate. This will consist of a fun activity such as a movie, treat, craft, food craft, or something of the like. If a student loses 3 Dojo points throughout the week, they will not be able to participate in Fun Friday. I highly encourage you to check the Dojo app daily to monitor your child's behavior and discuss green choices and red choices as needed.
