About Me

My name is Jeremy Pirtle and I am the 6th grade teacher at Unity Elementary School.

My School Career

I attended grade school at Unity School (K-8th grade).

I attended high school at Massac County High School.

I graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.

I graduated from Murray State University again with a Master’s Degree in School Administration.

I have continued my education to achieve 30 hours of Master's Level Credit above my Master's Degree.

My Teaching Career

I began teaching in Massac County as the computer teacher for Brookport Elementary School and Jefferson Elementary School.  I also assisted some early elementary students with reading that first year at both Brookport and Jefferson.

I taught 3rd grade at Brookport for 3 years and 6th grade for 7 years.

For one school year I was the Assistant Principal for Metropolis Primary School, Metropolis Elementary School, and Massac County High School.

After many years at Brookport Elementary I moved to Unity School to teach 6th Grade and have been there ever since.

Personal Information

I am married to Renee Pirtle (the 3rd grade teacher at Unity).

My wife and I are the proud parents of Jackson and Graceyn.  They are both healthy, happy, and FULL of energy.

My hobbies include reading, playing golf and baseball, exercising, watching/attending St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues games.  My family and I also love to travel.  We are always looking for somewhere new to visit.  I'd like to visit all 50 states some day and as many different countries as I can.  My wife and I are co-owners of a travel agency, so that certainly helps with the travel aspect.
