What is Edcamp?

What is Edcamp?

Edcamp is a form of “unconference” designed specifically for educators and their needs. What makes Edcamp an “unconference”? Unlike traditional conferences, which have schedules set months in advance by the people running the conference, Edcamps have agendas created by the participants at the start of the event. A truly unique and tailored learning experience for educators.

Why Edcamp Mass STEM Hub?

Edcamp Mass STEM Hub is exclusively for Massachusetts Project Lead The Way teachers. It will be an opportunity to collaborate and learn from other teachers just like you. Participants create the agenda so you will have a personally tailored professional development experience focused on the PLTW curriculum. While learning with other PLTW teachers, you will also have an opportunity to build and grow your network of fellow teachers teaching the same curriculum as well as improve, problem solve, and enhance your classroom practice for your students.

What will the day look like?

The day begins with a light breakfast and building the session board. Come with some ideas of what topics you would like to discuss and learn. Sessions will be populated by participant generated areas of interest. The morning will consist of 3 session blocks concluding with a full group closeout, door prize giveaways, and lunch.
