At the MHS Baking Club, we discuss fun recipes, exciting baking tricks, and share baking advice in a casual, supportive environment!
At every meeting, we share a unique theme, and members bake a delicious item based on that theme. At the following meeting, we will taste what everyone has made.
Our informational meeting will be held on August 25th, 2026. Make sure to join us then for further information about the club and the chance to eat some goodies the leaders have made for you :)

Frequently Asked Questions
Where should I drop off food/my food needs to be refrigerated?

I have absolutely no experience in baking, can I still join?
Yes! As long as you have a passion for baking and you're willing to put in the effort, you can join!
Are there any fees to join?
There is a yearly fee of $5 to cover the costs of utensils, plates, and cutlery.
Payment methods:
Cash/Check: deliver to the Student Activites Office (between Z2 & A2)
Online: Pay Schools Central, HS Student Activites Section
Some events may have an additional fee to cover materials (ex. workshops) but otherwise there are no additional fees.
When does the club meet?
The club meets on Tuesdays monthly. We try to choose a Tuesday that best fits everyone's schedule.
I have allergies/dietary restrictions, should I still join?
You are not required to taste any of the treats, but if being around ingredients that you are allergic to is a problem, you should seriously rethink applying.
Especially, if you're allergic to eggs, milk, wheat, and/or peanuts/tree nuts, because of the possible cross-contamination, and because these are usually the most common ingredients found in baked goods.
If you are still unsure about whether or not you should join due to your allergies, please email caitlynn.begley11@masonohioschools.com for further information.
How are themes selected?
Themes are chosen by the leaders before each school year. If you have any suggestions, let the president or marketing manager know, and we will do our best to incorporate it into the next year.
Is this a competitive club?
No. Everyone in the club is treated equally, no matter your skill level.
Attendance Requirements?
We do keep track of attendance however there is no required number of meetings. This is a very casual club.
I can't bake at home. Can I still join?
We suggest you reconsider, as all the baking is done at home, but if you would like to inquire further, email caitlynn.begley11@masonohioschools.com.
No-bake desserts are accepted (ex. icebox cakes, no-bake cheesecake, etc).
If your question isn't listed here, feel free to email caitlynn.begley11@masonohioschools.com
