MHS.1.pdfCover design for our December 2025 edition of The Chronicle. I worked with our designer to create the cover image and change the font color of our logo. This year, we decided to add the banner at the top to tease a second story in the paper.
MHS.17.pdfPage design for the two-story sports cover in our September 2025 edition of The Chronicle. This is the first time in many years that we have started doing two stories on a page; in this case, the stories cover the same sport but include a news story and a feature story.
This year, I wanted to bring back our Athlete of the Month, and in that decision, I decided to allot a page to fun sports content. This is our Sports Fun page from our December 2025 edition of The Chronicle. Each month, the elements change to feature new athletes and teams.

MHS.12.pdfIn my time as editor-in-chief, I have laid out four out of our five center spreads. Working with our design team, I helped to brainstorm statistics and add many elements to this feature from our December 2025 edition of The Chronicle. One challenge I faced while putting this page together was that it looked too text-heavy, so I added subheadings to break it up.

MHS.13.pdfPage design for the school board election package in our October 2025 edition of The Chronicle. Instead of our usual four column layout, I switched it to five to fit each of the candidates. We actually scooped the Cincinnati Enquirer on this story, which was pretty amazing for our staff.
