Venue information

John Adams is attached to the high school. There will be a girls wrestling tournament happening at the fieldhouse on the East end of the high school, so try to avoid that end of the building. The driveway for John Adams is on S. Illinois Ave. Busses should enter in the south JAMS entrance and drop off at the north doors (closest to the gym). Any schools with a one act play or large items (such as choral reading and readers theatre) should drop off the items at the south JAMS doors. Following drop off, buses can park at the alternative school parking lot. Spectators/school vans can park in the main JAMS parking lot. Overflow parking can park on the west side of the high school parking lot.

Things you should PROBABLY know about JAMS

John Adams has two sets of doors that will both be open. One is on the south side and one is on the north side but both sets face west.

The office to check in will be by the south set of doors.
Home base/gym is by the north set of doors. It would be easiest to drop students off there.
The locations for centers are mostly on the south end of the building, two are between the high school and JAMS.
1. There is ONE major hallway. We do have an upstairs that should not need to be used.
FOOD!
1. We will be using our cafeteria to provide food.
2. Options in our concessions include Chick-fil-a, walking tacos, and baked goods.
3. We will accept cash or card at concessions.
Warm up rooms (We have plenty of areas in which you could warm up)
1. There are 3 warm up areas. They are scattered throughout. They'll be marked.
  1. A classroom directly across from the gym
  2. The high school cafeteria (huge, great for choreography)
  3. A practice room in our musical department area (smaller, good for warming up voices)

Handicap needs
1. All areas are handicap accessible.
