During the 2021-2022 school year, Mason County started a new student organization with the help from new business teacher, Bryson Bennett. FBLA was started to help promote leadership skills within young students that they can use outside of the classroom. We hope to inspire students to think outside of the box and chase their wildest dreams.
In the first year, our officers promoted the organization to gain 46 members from Mason County. The organization was very successful with two fundraisers, Old Kentucky Chocolate bars and a candle fundraiser. Through this hard work, FBLA has set up the organization for success for future years.
In the 2022-2023 campaign, the chapter had 17 people place at the regional competition in 16 different competitive events, with 4 placing at state, and 1 placing at nationals, Philip Bierley.
2023-2024 School Year, Mason County FBLA had their very first state officer. Senior Joseph Hazlett became Region 5 President which gave him the role of become apart of the State Officer Team.
Mason County continues to make noice across the state in 2024-2025 by having another Region 5 President, Logan Crockett. Greenleigh Parker also carvers her name into the history books by becoming the first person ever to compete in the BAA Capstone receiving a Top 10 finish in the Nation. During this year we had record number of members (62), people attending Region, placing at Region and placing at state.
