  • Complete "Teen Freedom Fighters" activities. Access a copy of it here to print it. Due Friday at the beginning of class.

Friday, April 9 - Classwork:

  • We launched our performance task. Students selected a societal issue (hunger, homelessness, or refugees/war) to read and write about.

    • If you were absent, select one of the topics above to read about - click on the link to access the article. You must complete all three tasks on this stamp sheet before you can begin your mind map.

  • If you missed class on Tuesday, your remote work is to review the RICE notes on page 24 + 25 AND complete the following boxes on the TDA organizer: Intro + Paragraph 2. Paragraph 2 should use text evidence from "The House on Mango Street" by Sandra Cisneros.

  • "The House on Mango Street" - we completed the Do Now on page 38, read the story on page 40, and then completed the row at the top of page 39. When reading the story, transact for 3 examples of poverty.
