4,707th Annual "Pharies" Awards Committee Invitation  Performance Task

Congratulations! You have been selected to sit on the prestigious committee for this year’s awards ceremony! 

Each year, the committee selects Egyptian pharaohs to be recognized with different awards recognizing:

• Most Important – an award given to a pharaoh whose reign/rule was important to the history of the Egyptian people.

• Most Interesting – an award given to a pharaoh who sparks interest among the people. (S)he did not have to be a great or terrible leader, but their life and/or actions are interesting to the public.

• Greatest Lasting Impact – an award given to a pharaoh who made a huge impact (“dent”) when considering the history of Egypt. Whether positive or negative, his/her legacy is still studied today (and likely for years to come).

• Honorable Mention – an award given to a pharaoh the committee believes should be honored/ recognized for a reason of the committee’s choosing.
