Congratulations! You have been selected to sit on the prestigious committee for this year’s awards ceremony!
Each year, the committee selects Egyptian pharaohs to be recognized with different awards recognizing:
Most Important – an award given to a pharaoh whose reign/rule was important to the history of the Egyptian people.
Most Interesting – an award given to a pharaoh who sparks interest among the people. (S)he did not have to be a great or terrible leader, but their life and/or actions are interesting to the public.
Greatest Lasting Impact – an award given to a pharaoh who made a huge impact (“dent”) when considering the history of Egypt. Whether positive or negative, his/her legacy is still studied today (and likely for years to come).
Honorable Mention – an award given to a pharaoh the committee believes should be honored/ recognized for a reason of the committee’s choosing.
Navigate the informational texts curated in this website to find text evidence to support your reasoning for awarding the different "Pharies" to each Egyptian pharaoh.
