Class of 2027

Meet your MHS Counseling Office Team:

Hello 9th Graders,

Welcome to MHS!!! We can't wait to get to know you. You will likely get email calendar invitations to meet with your counselor throughout your years in High School. Please do not be worried, you are not in trouble. We like to check in on students from time-to-time… this is a good thing. We are trying to get to know your lovely faces :) On the same note, you can also request an appointment to see your counselor by just sending an email. When you send us an email, please be patient, we promise we will get back to you but it might not always be on the same day.

If you are struggling in school or dealing with an emergency at school (you or someone else is going to get hurt) please come to the Counseling Center office as soon as you can by asking your teacher permission if you are in class. Mrs. Wattles, the counseling administration assistant will direct you to the appropriate resource. If for some reason your school counselor is out of the office, there are five school counselors total along with one school psychologist (Mrs. Maxwell) and one social worker (Mrs. McCarthy) that can help assist you.

Our biggest advice this school year is get INVOLVED! It will make your high school experience that much more enjoyable and it looks great on an academic resume/college application. There is a full listing of all club/activities/sports on the MHS athletics/activities website. Make your FRESHMAN year count!!!

High School flies, so let’s start out well and make it a GREAT year! We are very excited to be working with each and every one of you! Good luck this school year!

Sincerely,

The MHS School Counseling Crew

The Student Services Department is here for you! The best way to book an appointment is to email your assigned counselor or click on their picture below and they will send you an electronic calendar invite through your school email address. If it's something more urgent, stop down and we will assist you!

"At the end of the day, who you are is totally and completely up to you."
