Grading & Assessment

Throughout this course you will be assessed on the following three components:

In this course this refers the quality of your design and your ability to paint. This is your CRAFTSMANSHIP.

You will be self-reflecting on these goals throughtout the course using the scale on the right.

This course will challenge you to use CREATIVITY. You will be given problems & prompts asking for your voice as an artist. The goal is to create from you experiences, influences, and thoughts rather than copy someone else's.

Problems

This work will ask you to be creative while using your drawing & design skills to create unique works. For each work you will be documenting your process from start to finish.

The final set of skills you will be assessed on will be Communication .

You will create a Google Site to blog your work, process and thoughts. For each problem/assignment you will submit the link to your site to Google Classroom. The site will also function as a portfolio for the conclusion of the course.

Reviews

You will have a review with me to receive feedback, discuss your growth, and any struggles your encountered.

At this point we will discuss what grade is appropriate for your work.

LATE WORK

Work that is late without any prior notification will be dropped one letter grade. For example, work that would have been an A would receive a B.

If are not going to be able to submit your work on time, talk to me in person, email, or add a comment on the assignment in Google Classroom explaining the circumstances.
