Welcome to Summer Reading and the Masco Middle School Library!
In partnership with the English Department, and your town libraries, we recommend that incoming 7th and 8th-grade students read two books this summer, at least one text (or more) should be taken from the suggested titles given here. These books provide a baseline/context for the expected coursework for the upcoming year. If that is not possible, we simply encourage all students to read this summer; to explore different genres, graphic novels, or anything that will keep our students reading and growing.
