Some students just like to play casual games with us on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, but some students like to compete in tournaments. The New Hampshire Chess Association hosts scholastic tournaments throughout southern New Hampshire during the school year.
The Mascenic Chess Club is a member of the NH Chess Association. We greatly appreciate the work they do in maintaining an active Scholastic Chess program in New Hampshire. This year's schedule of Scholastic Chess Tournaments sponsored by the NH Chess Association can be found here:
On October 21, 2017, the club traveled to Pelham to compete in the Breast Cancer Awareness Scholastic Tournament. Pink was the theme for the day!
We have hosted our own tournament in the Mascenic Regional School District for the past 6 years. Here are some pictures from our tournament held in March of 2017 at the high school:
