Get Revising has been created to help students learn. Its aim is to involve students actively in their own learning and to provide an outlet for their creativity and helpfulness. It does this by providing interactive tools to plan revision and make revision notes. It also provides a resource bank where notes and resources can be shared. Get Revising is completely free to use for schools and individual students.

MAS11 Key Purpose: Confidence comes from being prepared
Dear Parents/Carers,
This week our Yr11 cohort have been working hard on the online programme called Unifrog. Last week I described how Unifrog is a one-stop-shop where students can easily explore their interests, then find and successfully apply for their next best step after school. Unifrog will help students to explore their key interests and what career paths they can take to reach your goals! Please do take the time to ask your child regularly what they have discovered as we will continue to use throughout the academic year.
Students were also reminded of the importance of being prepared for their forthcoming mock exams. Students have also had an assembly on how to construct a comprehensive revision timetable with the help of an online programme called Get Revising. Students will be using their Advisory time each morning to create their study plans with the help of their Advisor. Your role as a parents could not be more important at this time to support and ensure that your child is preparing for their exams. Additionally once students have registered with Get Revising they will have access to past papers and the ability to use the websites functions to create flash cards and other useful revision tools. Other useful revision tools for students and parents and exam information can also be found on the Yr11 website by clicking here.
As always I thank you for your support and I know you will reinforce the importance of revision for the forthcoming mock exams.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Stamato
Assistant Principal & Deputy Head of Luther King College

Additional lessons to support students learning have already begun. Some students have been directed to attend lessons and although this is not a compulsory lesson it is an expectation of the academy that all Year 11 students attend all timetabled period 6 sessions when selected by their teachers.
