Ever wanted to wave your arms and have the music follow? In this energetic and hands-on class, campers will step onto the podium and learn the basics of conducting—beat patterns, cues, and musical expression. You’ll get to lead your peers, explore what makes a great conductor, and even try out conducting real music in front of a group. No baton experience required—just a love of music and a little flair for the dramatic! 

With a mix of individual practice and group play, you'll quickly build confidence and discover how easy it is to make music with just four strings. In this class, students will learn the fundamentals, including basic chords, strumming techniques, and how to play a variety of songs. By the end of the camp, students will be able to perform basic tunes and play along with others.
