Screening phone or Zoom call
Enrollment Visit in participant’s home
Data Collection Visit 1 in participant’s home (may be combined with Enrollment visit)
Weeks 0-8: Weekly remote balance training (with research team member and 1-2 other participants on Zoom)
Data Collection Visit 2 in participant’s home (You'll receive a $50 Amazon gift card!)
Weeks 9-16: Weekly remote balance training all independently with videos
Data Collection Visit 3 in participant’s home (Another $50 Amazon gift card!)
Watch the video below for more information!
People with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and dementia fall more than their peers & are more likely to be injured in a fall
Diminished skill with balance is a leading contributor to falls
Balance training improves balance in people with dementia!
The Otago Exercise Program (a balance training curriculum) decreases falls in older adults!
We are striving to find a SUSTAINABLE program to help prevent falls for people with dementia
You will receive a $50 Amazon gift card at 8 weeks and another at 16 weeks!
Let's get moving together!
