My Story
My Story
I grew up in Kenai, Alaska. I love it here and I want to spend the rest of my life here. Kenai is where I grew up, went to High-School and where I met and married my beautiful wife. But it's also where my little brother died. In 2009, my younger brother Matti (age 9) died in a terrible animal accident. It was all a blur. It was hard to believe. A few days later we had a celebration of life for Matti. It was a very special time but it all went by very quickly. So many people showed up to support us but I don't even remember 10% of who was there. But I do remember that someone from our church showed up and filmed the whole service.

You see, just over a year ago was the 10 year anniversary of my little brothers death. As a family we all sat down on his 20th birthday and watched the funeral video. Being able to see the people there who supported us and hearing the words and stories that people shared was so impactful. This video really has helped us in our grieving process. I'm so thankful that our friend from church had the clarity of mind to film the video, because in our grief, we would have never thought about having the funeral filmed.

As we touched on earlier, the day of the funeral goes by quickly and there are so many people there to support the grieving family. Coverage of the day is beneficial to be able to look back on those moments and cherish all the love and support that you received.

Most of the time the entire family is unable to travel and be present at the celebration of life. The coverage can be shared which is very meaningful to the people that wanted to be there.

The loss brings the family together and this can be a great opportunity to take photographs of the whole family. The generations, siblings, cousins, and friends all come together and it is a perfect time to capture that moment in time that could have otherwise been passed by.

This film is a shortened version of the full ceremony video. This 3-6 minute video highlights guests arriving, service details like venue location, commemorative flowers, pictures and more. Brief service recap and stories shared will also be included in this edit. This video is great for sharing on Facebook for people that weren't able to come and aren't ready for the full length video.
Live Stream Video - $900

This day only happens once and there is nothing like being there in person, however not everyone can make it. This live-stream package is an additional camera that live streams to Facebook so family and friends can watch the event in real time.

How do you want your loved one remembered? This is a video that the family gets to help create. Typically, in the family's home, we sit down to interview the family. This is a meaningful time of sharing your loved one's character traits, meaningful memories and fun stories. The family can have personal pictures and videos included in the film when it relates to the stories shared. Did the family member enjoy fishing? Let's go fishing! Did they always rake their neighbor's yards? Let's do some acts of service! However you want to remember your loved one, we want to capture that.
Video length is usually 5-10 minutes.
