Equity and Social Justice
MUSD is committed to ensuring we honor, include, and lift all voices in our school community. We will continue to build out resources and provide opportunities to engage staff, students, families, and community members to have the tools to identify and interrupt racism and social injustice.

Race Work with Dr. Lori Watson
Race Work with Dr. Lori Watson
MUSD has partnered with Dr. Lori Watson to develop a series of trainings for staff, parents and students. Dr. Watson launched her first training will all MUSD employees on September 16th. This introductory training laid the foundation for our collective anti-racist work as a district.
Dr. Watson will be working with a cohort of MUSD staff for three intensive training in October. Their work together will take a deeper dive into bias and ways to interrupt systematic racism.
We have also scheduled a six-part parent series that began in December. Parents/Families are welcome to partcicipate in any sessions.
