Coach Bio

Chris Petiti

Chris Petiti enters his sixth season as Alhambra’s boys basketball coach in 2021-2022. Under his leadership, the Bulldogs have won the last two league championships, and have qualified for the CIF-North Coast Section Division III playoffs each season, including a trip to the quarterfinals in 2018.

Coach Petiti brings 13 years of experience as a coach at both the high school and college levels.

Prior to coming to Alhambra, Petiti served as the varsity boys basketball coach at Overfelt HS in San Jose, CA for the 2015-2016 season. Additionally, he served as an assistant for his father at The King’s Academy in Sunnyvale, CA from 2012-2015.

Coach Petiti served multiple years as an assistant at the college level, first at the former NAIA school Bethany University in Scotts Valley, CA where he worked under head coach Mark Laird. Following his time there, he coached as an assistant at Foothill Community College in Los Altos Hills, CA with head coach Shanan Rosenberg.

Petiti and his wife Brittney were married in 2015 and are proud to be residents of Martinez. In addition to coaching the boys varsity basketball team at Alhambra HS, he teaches Modern World History in the Social Science department.
