Work for the week is open on Monday mornings by 8:00 AM and is due on Sunday night at 11:59 PM. Students must turn their work in by Sunday at 11:59 PM. For each day it is late after Sunday, a letter grade will be deducted from the grade.

The 2020-2021 school year is unique. Since learning has become virtual, home has become the classroom. We will be doing different types of things that will be electronic. Your ELA grade consists of 4 parts:
Journal/question of the day 25%
weekly Independent Reading, log 25%
selection questions, quizzes 25%
weekly IREADY! (45 minutes a week), tests, other assignments 25%
ELA assignments will go out on Monday. All assignments are due by the following Sunday night, 12:00 midnight .

All ELA students are required to do the following:
*Log in to Google classroom for assignments, updates, check your RMS student email daily
* Complete a daily journal, warm up, question
* 45 minutes a week of reading IREADY!
* Complete an independent reading log for every week (reading at least 30 minutes a day)
* attend daily Google meeting (I will send you the invites)

Attached is our NC Check-in sign up form. Students will need to sign up for 2 different times to take their ELA Benchmark and their Math Benchmark. Students are not permitted to take two tests in one day. Parents please select a Day to take the Reading Test and another Day to take the Math Test, again students are not permitted to take both tests on the same day. The time slots available are at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm.
Transportation will not be provided to or from school. Please note we have limited space due to Covid19. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
