You will need to know the common knowledge at first. This includes knowing that the object of the game is to hit the ball from the start into a marked hole. There are 18 holes in a course. The parts of the course are the tee, the fairway, the rough, the bunkers and the green.
Step 2: Take lessons
You will need to take beginner lessons next to understand the game. If you are a kid at Waitakiri it will cost $10 a lesson. If you are taking lessons you will be able to borrow clubs. You should do this for a couple of years to fully understand how to play.
Step 3: Start Playing And Get Clubs
Now that you have got the hang of golf you will need to buy your own clubs. You should start playing with about 3 holes and work your way up to 18.
Step 4: Get Your Handicap
Once you start playing golf regularly try and get na handicap. To get a handicap you will need to play each hole ten times and submit your scores. A handicap allows players of different abilities to play together. Depending on how you good you are you will get a certain amount of pints added or taken away from you depending on how good you are.
