Bobcat Team Honors
Nick Norris Award
The Nick Norris Award has been established by the Nick Norris Foundation in memory of a Bobcat Grid Star of 1954-1956 who died in the service of his country in 1964. This award is based on a player who contributed to the success of the football team through leadership, ability, morale, sportsmanship, and personal sacrifice for the good of the team.

John White Award
The John J. White Memorial Foundation was established in the memory of a former Marshalltown High School athlete who died unexpectedly on April 14, 1999. John was a 1968 graduate of Marshalltown High School who distinguished himself as an outstanding football player serving as captain of the bobcat football team his senior year. John later became a successful businessman and was known for his philanthropy, generosity, and positive concerns for others. The selection criteria for the award displays leadership, character, ability, morale, sportsmanship, work ethic, and personal sacrifice for the good of the team.
