Advisory Council

FRYSC advisory councils are the foundation of all successful centers!

The council:

  • is the body that assists the center coordinator in fulfilling the mission of the center.

  • links school, home, and community.

  • assures that community, parent, and school input occurs in the planning, implementation, and oversight of the center's activities.

  • provides the coordinator with input regarding the planning, development, and implementation of center services, activities, and programs.

  • helps evaluate services, programs, and activities.

  • provides outreach for the center.

  • approves budgets and amendments.

  • approves changes in staffing patterns and site changes.

  • is representative of the population of the community served by the center.

  • keeps the center community-focused rather than school-focused.
