I have been a teacher at Marshall County High School since 2013. I love teaching! My first-grade teacher shared a questionnaire with me a couple of years ago that she had given our class asking what we wanted to be when we grew up. My answer was a teacher. So I have known from an early age this is what I wanted to do!
I started college at West Community Technical College after graduating high school in 2007. From there, I transferred to the Murray State University Crisp Center in Paducah so that I could take night classes and continue working at my stepdad's body shop during the day. I graduated from Murray State in 2011 with my degree in Elementary Education and Learning and Behavioral Disorders. I worked as a reading and math interventionist for a couple of years in the Marshall County School District and then took my current position at MCHS. I received my teaching certificate in Moderate to Severe Disorders in 2016. I love my students at MCHS and want them to be their best selves so that they are ready for the transition after high school.
In my spare time, I love listening to music, going to concerts, traveling, Disney World, shopping at Target, gardening, and spending time outside.
