Create & Share Presentation Slideshows

Think of Google Slides as Google's version of PowerPoint. It will allow you to create digital presentation slides including text, images, videos, and animations!

Getting Started

Create a Google Slides File

Go to drive.google.com
Press the "New" button (upper left)
Select "Google Slides" from the drop down

Select Theme

Change the look of your entire presentation!

Select a theme from the right sidebar
OR Select the "Slide" menu & "Change Theme"

Add a Slide

Your slideshow begins with just one slide. Add more slides so that you can insert more material.

Look for the "+" button (upper left)
Click the down arrow
Select the desired slide layout

Get Animated

Slide Transitions

Add a neat transition effect to spice up the way that slides change.

Select "Slide" menu
Click "Change Transition"
Select desired effect (fade, dissolve, flip, etc.)

Animation

Add an animation to any item on your slide! Have the text fly in or make an image fade in from nothing!

Select the item that you want to animate.
Insert menu -> Animation
Select desired effect
