Greetings and Salutations!
Most students call me Ms. E-R, rather than
Ms. Edwards-Ransom, which is fine with me! I am excited to begin another year at Marlboro Middle School. I have many years of experience teaching middle school life and physical sciences, plus a few years teaching high school Living Environment and working in student affairs in higher education. My specialty and passion is biology, but I also have taught physical and earth/space science over the years.
I grew up in New Paltz and earned all three of my degrees from Ithaca College. After 6 years living and teaching in the Washington DC metro area, I moved back to my native Hudson Valley to raise my three children.
In addition to my passion for teaching science, I love music and sing in our faculty band, Paper Jam.
I look forward to working with the eighth grade students at MMS this year! My goal is to foster curiosity and a life-long sense of awe about the world around us. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
