Our Classroom
Homework and test/quiz/assessment announcements will be written on the bulletin board and updated weekly.
You can write your homework in your agenda, but it will also be posted on our Google Site.
The day, date, and letter day will be posted on the same bulletin board.
Only one person is allowed out of the classroom at a time.
Do not touch anything that does not belong to you. This includes other people.
Cell Phones
I should not see or hear cell phones in class.
If I see or hear a cell phone in my classroom, I will ask that you shut it off and give it to me.
I will bring it to the office where your parents can pick it up after school.

Evacuation/Safety Drills
I expect there to be NO TALKING during evacuation and safety drills.
These are perhaps the most important things we do in school as they pertain to your and my safety.
I take them very seriously, so should you.
If I have to ask you to be quiet during an evacuation or safety drill, expect to have detention and an email to be sent home.
My Biggest Pet Peeve!!
PLEASE DO NOT PACK UP AND GET READY TO LEAVE BEFORE I TELL YOU TO DO SO!!
When you pack up before I tell you to do so, you tell me…
You do not intend to listen to me anymore even if I am not finished instructing.
You are done working for the rest of the period even if I have more planned for you to do.
You show me a great disrespect even though I will always be respectful of you and your time.
Extra Credit
Extra credit does not exist in Mr. Maldonado’s classroom.
Extra credit is supplemental work because the work that was assigned originally was not completed.
Extra Credit artificially inflates your grade without showing any real learning.
Extra Credit creates extra work for me and I do not want to do extra work.
Extra Credit has never been offered to anyone in my 19 years of teaching.
Extra Credit will never be an option in my classroom.
