Our Contributors
The project has been the work of many people who have had significant input already. These people include:
Our staff members. Teachers and administrators from the Primary School have been consulted in discussions and workshops. We have also taken into consideration the thoughts and experience of Early Years colleagues. Key people such as the Finance and Logistics staff who have been involved in building projects for Markham before have been fully engaged. Our IT team have mapped out the needs for this crucial part of the infrastructure.
Our students. The student team from Primary School has had representatives at many of the meetings with our architects. Crucially, their input in the competition stage, where they watched all the presentations and contributed to the choice of the final design team was very important. Larger groups of students have been consulted regularly.
Our parents. We have had workshops with parents over the last two years. A smaller select group of parents who are architects or constructors have been heavily involved at every stage and their advice has been vital.
Stephen Heppell, who some will remember from the conference we held in 2018, has been a fascinating consultant on the project. His experience in the design and building of schools around the world is unique.
