SIPNOSIS: Brian Selznick's "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" tells the story of Hugo, an orphan who lives in a Paris train station. Hugo is busy keeping the station's clocks running while trying to repair an automaton, a magical creation left behind by his late father. As Hugo unravels the automaton's secrets and his connection to a kindly toymaker, he discovers the importance of dreams, friendship and the magic that can be found in stories and in people's hearts.

OPINION: Books on magic are not in abundance in the readership, so this is a book I recommend as they are quite unusual and very good.
