Marist families are responsible for securing all required texts for their child's courses.
"Textbook" is an overall term used for any "anchor text" or primary resource(s) an instructor will use for their course. Anchor texts may be a traditional physical textbook, an e-text, and/or digital courseware and should be considered the instructor approved, first resource for learning and studying for your child.
Please use the following directions and the "Resources" in the right column on this page when buying course materials for your child.
The textbook buying season runs from May through the first day of school in August. In May, thoroughly review the Marist Textbook List for the next school year paying close attention to any directions in the “NOTES TO PARENTS/STUDENTS'' column.
In May, please consider taking advantage of BNC K-12’s Online Buyback Program. May is the optimal time to participate in the program as BNC K-12 is stocking their used products for sale when the bookstore opens.
The BNC K-12 virtual bookstore opens July 14. Use your student's Marist identification number to "shop by schedule" or you may choose to shop by individual course to select and purchase materials. When applicable, BNC K-12 and the instructor will offer different versions of the anchor text, e.g. new, used, or Marketplace Seller. Important Reminder: “Changes to your Class Schedule, through the Registrar, could take 24-48 hours to reflect on the bookstore if using the Shop-By-Schedule feature. The Shop-By-Course feature is still available, should you need to make your purchase now.”
Please review these step-by-step instructions before ordering materials in the bookstore.
Many instructors offer an optional product that may include an additional physical book with the required digital license. Please be mindful of the REQUIRED versus the OPTIONAL adoption requirement for each product and always check the comments column on the Marist Textbook List for any special instructions.
A note on required digital products: Families must purchase the digital license required by the instructor. The digital license covers all copyright compliance required by the publisher for use by our school and your student. When purchasing through the BNC K-12 online bookstore, all digital products must be assigned to the correct child using the student's @marist.com email credentials. Students will access electronic products via the Digital Content login on the BNC K-12 website using their @marist.com credentials. Thank you.
The BNC K-12 online bookstore is open from mid-July through April 1 for any academic year.
School supplies and organizational tools needed for a course will be addressed by the instructor on the first day of school.
Marist School will send course request updates to BNC K–12 daily to ensure the "Shop by Schedule" feature remains accurate. Please allow 24–48 hours for any course changes to appear in the online bookstore. Course requests can be reviewed in Veracross at any time.
The Spanish department is transitioning to physical textbooks and workbooks this year. However, students will still need the online subscription license included in the “Print Combo” bundle available through the BNC K–12 bookstore.
Free shipping is available for one week starting Monday, July 14 - the day the bookstore opens.
