2 hour class offered to JR/SR students interested in medical professions. This class provides students with the opportunity to experience medical professions in the community through job observation. Certification through the National Consortium of Health Science is offered as an option for students who complete this program and choose to sit for the certification test. Students are certified in CPR and First Aid, as well as Stop the Bleed training. Students become competent in confidentiality, professionalism of a healthcare worker, and performing vital signs just to name a few highlights. Typically, students are in the classroom first semester, job shadowing in the second semester. Students also attend field trips to colleges and hospital tours during the year.
