Worship
At First Presbyterian Church, worship is the heart of our life together.
Each Sunday we gather to pray, sing, listen to Scripture, reflect on God's presence in our lives, and encourage one another in faith. Whether you have attended church for decades or are stepping into a sanctuary for the first time, we invite you to join us.
Sunday Schedule
Sunday School: 9:00 AM
Worship: 10:30 AM
What Is Worship Like?
Our worship is rooted in the Presbyterian tradition while remaining welcoming, thoughtful, and accessible.
A typical service includes:
Scripture readings
Prayer
Congregational singing and special music
A sermon or reflection
Opportunities for fellowship and connection
Communion every Sunday
Services generally last about one hour.
We use both printed bulletins and screens to help everyone participate. Visitors are never expected to know the words, responses, or routines ahead of time—we'll guide you along the way.
Music
Music is an important part of worship at First Presbyterian Church.
Our services include traditional hymns, special music, guest musicians, and seasonal celebrations throughout the year. We value the rich musical traditions of the church while creating opportunities for people of all ages to participate in worship through music.
Our choir rehearses each Sunday at 10:00 AM before worship, and new singers are always welcome. Whether you have years of musical experience or simply enjoy singing, we invite you to join us.
Communion
We celebrate the Lord's Supper regularly throughout the year.
At First Presbyterian Church, Christ's table is open to all who seek God's grace. You do not need to be a member of our congregation—or of any church—to participate.
Prayer
Prayer is central to our worship and our life together.
During worship, we share joys and concerns and lift one another in prayer. We believe that God meets us in our celebrations, our struggles, our questions, and our hopes.
Worship Online
For those unable to attend in person, worship is available online through Zoom. Services are also shared through our YouTube ministry so that members, friends, and visitors can stay connected wherever they are.
Come As You Are
There is no dress code, no membership requirement, and no expectation that you have everything figured out.
Come with your questions.
Come with your doubts.
Come with your hopes.
Most of all, come knowing that you are welcome.
There is a place for you here.
