Marion County Virtual Science Fair

An open science fair for Marion County students in 4th -9th grades.

Sponsored by Marion County Knight Academy

What is the purpose of the science fair?

The goal of the science fair is to generate an interest in and excitement about science for all Marion County students in grades 4 - 9. This contest provides an opportunity for students to showcase their projects to peers and judging teams consisting of upper level students volunteers and community leaders. Students will gain experience using science and engineering practices, as well as the scientific method or engineering design process during the planning and research process.

How do I register?

With a parent or guardian, complete the entry form and begin preparing for the competition.

Details:

This science fair is completely virtual. Students will create a project and run it from start to finish on their own. There will be no group projects allowed. Every project must have a completed research plan, a log book indicating their daily observations, and a virtual display board. All of these documents are linked and can be found on this website. Please be sure to make a copy of these documents before trying to edit them. (File > make a copy) Along with these documents each student will also need to submit a video presentation of their project providing an explanation of their project, what they did, and their results. This will allow the judges an opportunity to fully understand your project. All projects will be linked here by grade level as they are submitted.
