Gabriella Montez/Co Marketing Director

Isabella Harris is thrilled to play Gabriella this year in the most interesting production of a musical she has ever seen! As her first ever role, Izzy has had an incredible time hanging out with the cast and seeing it all come together. In her free time, she enjoys all things singing and making candles. She wants to thank every single person on the cast and crew for making this year, despite all of its challenges, the most positive and fulfilling experience. She also wants to give a big thank you to the directors, who fought so hard to give us this production. And last but certainly not least, a thank you goes out to her best friends and family, who’s constant support always lifts her up and inspires her. Enjoy the show!

Nick Kohlman-Sr.

Troy Bolton

Nick is super excited to be playing his first lead role, Troy, in the musical this year. As a senior, he is overjoyed to be a part of High School Musical for his final show. Nick has been in a few musicals throughout his high school career. In 2020, Nick played Aaron and a featured dancer in Legally Blonde. In 2019, Nick played a featured dancer and the Duke of Cheshire in Cinderella. In 2018, Nick was in Sound of Music as Kurt, the youngest boy of the Von Trapp family. In 2015, he played a Dwarf and a Duloc Dancer in Shrek the Musical. Outside of the musical, Nick plays tennis and hockey and loves to hang out with his friends. When Nick goes to college, he plans to study Aerospace Engineering. Nick wants to thank Mrs. Lowery, Mrs. McGahey, and Elizabeth Pille for contributing their time and effort to make High School Musical the best musical!

Tierney Rasmussen-Soph.

Sharpay Evans

Tierney Rasmussen is absolutely ecstatic to be playing Sharpay Evans in this year’s production of High School Musical. Tierney is a Sophomore and this is her 4th show at Mariemont High School. Tierney’s favorite roles in the past include: Brooke Wyndham (Legally Blonde), Kyli, Bobo, and Mom (Anti-Social), Jessica (Just a High School Play), Brigadier General Smith (War of the Worlds), Babkak (Aladdin JR.), and Mama Ogre (Shrek the Musical). Outside of theatre, Tierney is an officer in the world affairs club, sews, and writes for the Cappies of Greater Cincinnati. Tierney is so grateful for the directors, cast, and crew for working so hard to make such an amazing show during the pandemic. Thank you so much to Mrs. McGahey, Elizabeth, and Mrs. Lowery.

Benny Mitchell-Jr.

Ryan Evans

Benny Mitchell has appeared in several professional theater productions, including Mary Poppins at The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati (Michael Banks); A Christmas Carol (Boy Scrooge) at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park; and The Wizard of Oz (Munchkin/Flying Monkey) at The Children’s Theater of Cincinnati. He is grateful to have received a Cappies nomination for Best Comic Actor, playing Sebastian in Cinderella two years ago, and received a second nomination for Grandmaster Chad in the spring Musical, Legally Blonde. He was involved the short film, Gate of Dawn; and was a featured extra in the Hallmark style movie, The Christmas Masterpiece. He has recently started his own birthday party theater entertainment company, Backyard Broadway (which you can check out at www.backyardbroadwaylive.com). He is always up for a game of Super Smash Bros, and is very grateful to his Mom and Dad. He wishes the cast and crew success.

Ellison Van Scoy-Jr.

Taylor McKessie/Jr. Student Director

Ellison Van Scoy is thrilled to be playing Taylor McKessie as well as student directing in her third production at Mariemont High School, High School Musical: On Stage. You may have seen her as Vivienne Kensington in Legally Blonde, and as Lord Pinkleton in Cinderella. Besides participating in the musical, Ellison loves cheering, playing tennis, and spending time with her friends and family. She’d like to thank Mrs. McGahey, Mrs. Lowery, and Elizabeth Pille for all they did to make the show amazing, as well as her friends and family for their constant support. Enjoy the show!

R.J. Howe-Sr.

Chad Danforth

High School Musical will be R.J.’s 4th and final musical of his high school career. He has enjoyed playing Chad this year, but his favorite lead was playing Warner last year in Legally Blonde. It’s hard to believe it has been four years since he began his high school musical career playing Friedrich (and enjoying Shamrock shakes ;) in the Sound of Music, followed by being a featured dancer and a knight in Cinderella his sophomore year. Even though we were not able to have a traditional performance this year, R.J. is grateful that he and the other seniors were able to have a musical. He would personally like to thank his Mom, Dad, and the rest of his family for all their love and support. R.J. will miss his musical family and will remember all the memories he has made over the last four years!

Samantha Flerlage is thrilled to be student director and playing the role of Ms. Darbus in High School Musical: On Stage! this year! She enjoyed performing as Marta Von Trapp in The Sound of Music, a featured dancer in Cinderella, and Enid in Legally Blonde. Outside of the musical, Sam is involved in Student Council, Young Life, Showstoppers, F.C.A., and diving. She plans to attend Loyola Univeristy Chicago in the fall and major in Secondary Education and History. Sam would like to thank Mrs. McGahey, Mrs. Lowery, Elizabeth, Ellison, Kiersten, and the entire cast for all the work they have put into the show. She also wants to thank her family for their endless support and is thrilled to be onstage with her sister for her senior year musical. Sam hopes everyone enjoys the show!

Zeke Baylor

This will Griffen Wilner’s 3rd year starring in a musical production. He is thrilled to have the chance to play Zeke, a basketball jock with a passion for baking. Griffen’s previous roles include Kyle, the UPS delivery man in Legally Blonde, and a featured dancer in Cinderella. Outside of the musical Griffen pursues other interests like the piano, Medical Club, and leading Service Project Abroad. He wants to send a big thank you to Mrs. Lowery, Mrs. Mcgahey, and Elizabeth.

Avery Messner-Sr.

Martha Cox

Avery Messner is extremely excited to be playing Martha Cox and a cheerleader in this year’s production of High School Musical: On Stage! This is her fourth year doing the musical. She was in the ensemble in Sound of Music, a featured dancer in Cinderella, and Margot in Legally Blonde! Avery participates in Varsity soccer ,Younglife, FCA, National Honors Society, Sources of Strength, Tri-M, Showstoppers, and spirit club. She is planning on attending the University of Cincinnati in DAAP for fine arts. She would like to thank her fellow cast-mates for making her final musical the best one ever, Mrs. Mcgahey, Mrs Lowery and Elizabeth for their hard work, and her amazing family always for being so supportive! Coach Bolton

Ethan Dill is extremely excited to play Coach Bolton in Mariemont's production of High School Musical: On Stage! This will be Ethan's 3rd year doing the musical at Mariemont High School (Cinderella, Legally Blonde, & now High School Musical: On Stage!). He has loved every part of participating in it and working with his amazing peers as they bring the show together. Apart from the musical, Ethan enjoys spending time with his loving family, friends, and Young Life leaders. Ethan also is president of Leadership Council and his incredible 2022 class. Outside of school, Ethan enjoys rock climbing at Climbtime, discussing politics, and exploring downtown.

Jackie Scott

Hailey Bauer is so excited to play Jackie Scott in Mariemont High School's production of High School Musical! In the past some of her favorite roles have been Madame De la Grande Bouche in Beauty and the Beast, Jane Banks in Mary Poppins, Gretl in Sound of Music, Violet in the Boxcar Children, and ensemble in Les Miserables through Performing Arts Inc. When she isn't preforming, Hailey loves to hang out with friends, swim, and go on drives! She plans to go onto study aerospace engineering with a minor in astrophysics in college next year but is undecided about a school. She wants to thank the cast and her family for always supporting her and hopes you enjoy the show!

Kelsi Neilson

Josie Bloom is a senior and is SO excited to be playing Kelsi Neilson, the quiet and klutzy composer! Her past roles include Padamadan and the Judge in Legally Blonde and ensemble in both Cinderella and the Sound of Music. Outside of theatre, Josie can be found watching Dance Moms, getting iced coffee, or hanging out with her friends. She is president of AFS club and is active in National Honor Society, Tri-M, and the American Red Cross. Next year, she plans to study international relations at college. She would like to thank Mrs. McGahey and Mrs. Lowery for all their hard work on the show, and Elizabeth for putting up with her awful dancing. She hopes you enjoy her final show at Mariemont!

Grace Flerlage-Fr.

Ripper

Grace is a freshman who is excited to be playing the role of Ripper in High School Musical: On Stage! In previous years, Grace enjoyed performing as Kassim in Aladdin and the crazy nurse in Romeo & Winefred. Grace would like to thank everyone who was a part of the musical especially Mrs. McGahey, Mrs. Lowery, and Elizabeth. She would also like to thank her family for all of their support. Grace is extremely grateful that she has the opportunity to perform with her sister Sam in the musical. Grace is thrilled to be in the show and hopes everyone enjoys it!

Megan Weinland

Alana/Fetured Dancer

This is Megan's fourth and final production as a senior at MHS. She plays Alana the shy, but fashionable, thespian, as well as a featured dancer and jock in some scenes. Some of her other favorite roles through the years were Stephanie in Legally Blonde (2020), a dancer in Cinderella (2019), and a nun in Sound of Music (2018).

Kiersten is very excited to be a part of this year’s production, High School Musical and to help out as student choreographer. She was in The Sound Of Music in 2018, Cinderella in 2019 and received a Cincinnati Cappie Award for featured dancer in last year's musical, Legally Blonde. Kiersten was a competitive gymnast, cheerleader, and dancer. She was on Mariemont's varsity cheer squad and cross-country team and is finishing her senior year with diving and track. She is a proud member of National Honors Society, Showstoppers and Sources of Strength. Kiersten would like to thank those who love and support her. She hopes you enjoy the show and to learn that we're all in this together!

Abby Scheeser is a senior at Mariemont High School, and she is very excited to participate in her 4th production at Mariemont. She has been in Sound of Music, Cinderella, Legally Blonde, and this year she looks forward to both being in the ensemble, and playing the role of the Science Decathlon Moderator in High School Musical. Abby is very glad that she was able to be a part of the musical cast all 4 years of high school, and looks forward to what she will accomplish in college. Thank you Mom and Dad for all your support.

Henry Renie (University of Florida), Seth Greene (Jacksonvile University), Andrew Getgey (Texas Christian University), Nick Jones (University of South Carolina), and Max Megowen (The Ohio State University) stepped up this year to help perform in “Getcha Head in the Game.” Being the seniors in Chamber Choir at Mariemont, all of these guys worked hard and gave up their time to help make our show amazing.
