Biodiversity
What does Bio Diversity mean to me?
Earth has an incredibly diverse landscape. From its mountains and tundras to its dry deserts and pouring rainforests, countless types of life forms exist here.
Cities- Cities serve the man-made part of the ever-increasingly biodiverse world. Humans dominate these regions and have taken over the natural landscape.
Rainforests- Rainforests are one of the last natural landscapes largely untouched by man. They are incredibly diverse, hosting creatures from jaguars to ant kingdoms.
Deserts- Most Deserts are barren and empty, and most life would struggle to live in such a hot environment. Although, some deserts, such as the Sonoran desert are teeming with life.
Pets- Some species of animals such as dogs, cats, and some species of birds have evolved to become domesticated. They no longer hunt when we feed them. This is just one part of how diverse the earth is as a whole. All types of life exist here.
Oceans- Earth's oceans are incredibly diverse. They are so diverse that we are still discovering new species of fish today.
Bugs- There are hundreds of millions of species of bugs here on earth. They thrive in their ecosystems and often dominate sub-levels of life.
Birds- Birds are diverse overall because they have adapted to fly. It is an incredible skill that they have developed.
Unique Creatures- Earth is home to many unique creatures, such as the octopus or the whale shark. Life has stretched its legs in many different directions and sometimes it makes fascinating creatures,
Bacteria, Fungi, and viruses- Bacteria Fungi, and Viruses are where it all began. They play a massive role in how life started and how it continues to push on. These things themselves are incredibly diverse with hundreds of millions of types of bacteria, thousands of viruses, and many types of fungi that cover the earth.
Common WIldlife and Farms- The most common wildlife we see in our everyday lives (depending on where we live) are animals like rabbits, horses, pigeons, and deer. These are a part of our everyday life and play a small role in how the earth is biodiverse as a whole.
